TAPIO SNELLMAN

Tapio Snellman is an independent moving image artist and film-maker and as director of his own company was responsible for producing, writing and directing commercial, not-for-profit and art-films internationally. Collaboration with camera crews, aerial cinematographers, steady-cam operators, animators, recordists, composers and sound designers was integral for their successful completion.

Recent projects include a 7-projection installation on the work of the socially revolutionary Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi. As well as realising the concept and content of the films he directed and produced Snellman was set up the complex audio-visual installation at venues in 12 cities across Europe and the Americas.

Other relevant work includes a film portraying the Korean city of Seoul, commissioned by the Metropolitan Government and exhibited at the Venice Biennale and a portrayal of the practice and team of the British designer, Thomas Heatherwick, with a specially created collaborative sound-score by composer Garth McConaghie.

Projection design for the opera ‘Orfeo’ at the Netherlands National Opera Amsterdam was designed, produced and co-directed with Sasha Waltz in 2015. Present projects on the scars of Romania’s dictatorship and the demolition of Robin Hood Gardens in the East End include sophisticated drone footage.

ANNE LEE

Her professional experience has been largely in education where she worked for over 30 years with a range of ages and abilities.

Her career has included both classroom and senior managerial experience together with the delivery of professional development and a number of administrative roles.

In tandem she has also been involved in a variety of creative projects that have allowed her to develop skills ranging from devising and delivery of workshops
for children and adults to her own personal creative writing.

On a much more personal basis she has experienced as a patient the impact of acute neurological surgery and will contribute to the project the dual perspective of the personal and the professional.

PAUL MURPHY

Paul A Murphy has held down a number of real jobs over the years, from Lloyd’s broker, primary school teacher, record shop specialist and journalist, but he has been a composer and musician from the age of eight. Since then, he has played in a number of bands, ranging from Progressive rock to blues, folk and ska/punk, majoring in bass guitar and demonstrating a variable but satisfying proficiency in piano, keyboards, guitar, singing and occasionally bouzouki. Elsewhere, he has composed soundtracks for numerous commissions including short films, podcasts and spoken word projects. In his spare time he enjoys listening to a heady whirl of musical genres, dipping into radio and television, perfecting and expanding his cooking repertoire — and reading/writing/talking with enthusiasm about all over a drink. He lives in North London with his collection of CDs and literary arcana.
